Cheap'n'Easy Birthday! Cookies
(formerly known as Chocolate Yogurt Melts from some cookie book)
1 Pkg. cake mix (devil's food is good)
8 oz. flavored yogurt (cherry, raspberry, &c., anything that you think will go with the cake you chose)
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 Tbs. butter, melted (margarine is okay, if you insist)
Optional:
chocolate chips, dried cherries, nuts &c., whatever you'd like! ~8 oz.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir together cake mix, yogurt, egg and butter until thoroughly mixed. Fold in [chips, nuts, &c.]. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. The book said "Makes about 90 cookies" but in practice, makes about three dozen.
